The Munich Security Conference (MSC) is the world’s leading forum for debating international security policy. One year after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, theMSC in February 2023 once again offered an unparalleled platform for high-level debates on the key foreign and security policy challenges of our time.
Together with POLITICO, we hosted the first Goals Night Out of the year, ensuring theSustainable Development Goals (SDGs) stay on top of agendas. Hosted by Florian Eder, Executive Editor, Germany, POLITICO, Anja Langenbucher, Bill and Melinda Gates foundation, Gayle Smith, CEO, One Campaign and Sawsan Chebli, author of LAUT and politician, we discussed how people have the tools, ability, brains and data to ensure everyone can live in dignity.Other guests included: Alexander de Croo, Belgian Prime Minister, Alexander Stubb, Former Prime Minister of Finland, Jörg Kukies of the German Federal Chancellery, Ngaire Woods, Dean of the Blavatnik School of Government at Oxford, U.S. Assistant Secretary ofTreasury Paul Rosen, Gavi CEO Seth Berkley.
We also hosted an intimate screening of the documentary Bigger Than Us, followed by a Q&A with documentary protagonist Mohamad Al Jounde, a Syrian refugee.
