Aspart of Ecosperity Week, together with HSBC and GFANZ, Goals House held its first event in the APAC region to discuss Financing a Sustainable Transition: Driving Positive Change in Asia-Pacific. Leaders in policy, business, the NGO sector and media discussed the critical issue of sustainable finance in the APAC region, the challenges of financing a just transition for emerging economies, and how the public and private sectors can work together to support Asia’s net-zero transition.

Opened by Yuki Yasui, Managing Director of GFANZ, Asia-Pacific Network, the discussion was moderated by, Dr. Parag Khanna, Founder & CEO of Climate Alpha. Speakers included, Grace Fu, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment for Singapore, Anna Skarbek, CEO of Climateworks Centre and GFANZ APAC Network Advisory Board Member, and Surendra Rosha, Co-Chief Executive of HSBC Asia-Pacific.

Following dinner Goals House hosted a nightcap for a wider audience, where a range of attendees from companies including Temasek, Google, Accounting forSustainability, The Tony Blair Institute and PwC convened to reflect on the opening day of Ecosperity and continue conversations that ensured the SDGs remained high in attendees’ priorities.
