Celebrating the power of youth climate justice movements
On International Youth Day, Youth Climate Justice Fund founders Joshua Amponsem, Green Africa Youth Organisation; Nathan Méténier, Former UN Secretary General’s Youth Advisor, co-Founder of Generation Climate Europe and Paloma Costa Oliveira, Brazilian young climate activist, Former UN Secretary General’s Youth Advisor, reflect on the power of youth climate justice movements. As we enter the midpoint of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, many of the most impactful movements and leaders in climate action stem from today’s youth. However, these movements are still only receiving less than 1% of climate grants from the largest climate foundations. At Goals House, The Youth Climate Justice Fund has been able to convene donors and allies to help support youth-led climate initiatives. In September at New York Climate Week, The Youth Climate Justice Fund will officially be launched, and will meet again at Goals House to support youth led initiatives across the globe working to combat the threats of climate change.

A Race Against Time to Meet the Growing Malaria Challenge in African Cities
On World Malaria Day, we wanted to bring attention to how the war against malaria is changing rapidly and how we can all learn more to better eliminate malaria and encourage action to minimise suffering and death from the disease. In 2022, The Global Fund hosted a reception at Goals House in Davos that was powered by and co-hosted with Salesforce to commemorate the Global Fund's Seventh Replenishment, in which they raised $15.7 billion to battle malaria, TB, and AIDS. This year, we want to provide people the opportunity to interact with like-minded individuals who are working towards the same Goals who may otherwise be siloed in separate networks. As a result, as part of our expanding community, Oxitec Ltd, the leading developer of biological solutions to control pests that transmit disease, destroy crops and harm livestock, joined us in Davos for the first time in 2023. Grey Frandsen, CEO of Oxitec Ltd, is now speaking with us on how the world can address the growing malaria threat in African cities.
