12th April 2023

In April, alongside the World Bank and IMF Spring Meetings in Washington D.C., the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth and Goals House hosted a Goals Night Out, cutting through the busy agenda to convene uncommon collaborators: a roster of partners, leaders, cultural innovators, investors, and media, around the future of inclusive growth.

This was not your typical D.C. dinner. Hosted by Shamina Singh, Founder and President of the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth, the event theme ‘Silos to Solutions for People and Planet: Building Resilience and Equity for a New Era of Inclusive Growth’ stimulated discussion around financial inclusion and the need to drive the integration of climate considerations into the agenda, for this growth to truly be inclusive.

Moderated by Rachelle Akuffo, Anchor, Yahoo Finance, with contributions from Hindou Oumarou Ibrahim, Founder, Association for Indigenous Women and Peoples of Chad, Lilly Singh, Founder, Unicorn Island Fund, Andrea Jung, CEO, Grameen America, Rahama Wright, Founder and CEO, Yeleen Enterprises and member of the Presidential Advisory Council on Doing Business in Africa, Adrienne Elrod, Commerce Dept, Director of Ext and Gov Affairs, Commerce Chips, and Brandon “Stix” Salaam-Bailey, Founder, Thinkwatts Foundation.

A look back at the Night.
